About this document

Consulen is an AI consulting firm that helps manufacturing and industrial companies map their operational processes and deploy AI agents that work inside their existing systems. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what choices you have.

This policy covers anyone who visits our website, fills out our contact form, or becomes a client. If you are an employee of a company that has hired Consulen, your employer is responsible for telling you how your work-related information is used during our engagement — we act on their instructions.

What information we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out our contact form or reach out by email, we collect your name, email address, and company name. We use this to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to manage the project relationship. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Information collected during a client engagement

When a company hires us for a Discovery or agent-deployment project, we work with operational data that the client shares with us — things like process descriptions, sample reports, ERP exports, or spreadsheets. We only use this data to deliver the agreed project outputs. We do not retain client operational data after the project ends unless the client specifically asks us to.

If interviews or workshops involve employees, we may take notes or record sessions with the explicit consent of both the employer and the individuals involved. We do not collect biometric data, health information, or any data unrelated to the operational processes we are mapping.

Website analytics

Our website collects basic, anonymised usage data — pages visited, approximate location by country, device type, and referrer — to understand how visitors find and use the site. We do not use advertising trackers or sell this data to anyone.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to contact form submissions and sales inquiries.
  • To deliver Discovery sessions, process maps, agent specifications, and other project deliverables.
  • To send project updates, invoices, and administrative communications related to an active engagement.
  • To improve our website and understand which content is most useful to visitors.
  • To comply with legal obligations when required.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

AI tools we use internally

We use AI language models to help with process analysis, documentation drafting, and agent development. The providers we currently work with include OpenAI. We use paid API tiers under which client data is not used to train public models. We review all AI-generated outputs before delivering them to clients — nothing goes out unverified.

We will update this section if we change providers or if the terms under which we use them change in a material way.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. The only parties who may access your information are the service providers we use to operate our business:

ProviderWhat they do for us
ResendSends transactional emails (e.g., lead notifications)
TiDB CloudHosts our database where contact form submissions are stored
Manus (Butterfly Effect, Inc.)Hosts and serves this website
OpenAI and similar LLM providersAI inference used in our internal workflow — not for storing client data

Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy terms and processes data only as needed to perform their service. We may also disclose information if required by a court order or applicable law, or in the event of a business transfer such as an acquisition.

How long we keep your data

Contact form submissions are kept for as long as there is an active or potential business relationship. If you ask us to delete your information and there is no legal reason to keep it, we will do so within 30 days.

Client project data is deleted or returned at the end of the engagement. Billing records are kept for the period required by Mexican tax law (generally five years).

Security

All data transmitted to and from our website is encrypted in transit. Access to our database and internal systems is restricted to team members who need it to do their jobs. We do not store passwords or payment card numbers. If we ever become aware of a security incident that affects your data, we will notify you promptly.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to: confirm whether we hold any personal information about you, send you a copy of it, correct anything that is inaccurate, or delete it entirely. To make any of these requests, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 15 business days.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to how we handle personal information, we will update this page and revise the effective date at the top. We encourage you to check back periodically.
